Recently we had reported that Apple is testing Siri onto older devices including iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4 through an internal firmware build. However now 9to5Mac has reported that Apple at least for now does not plan to build Siri Voice Assistant feature into older devices.
The confirmation came from Apple developer Michael Steeber who has sent an email though his official email account which says,
Engineering has provided the following feedback regarding this issue: Siri only works on iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices.
Although the new is not a surprise as Apple is selling iPhone 4S with exclusive Siri voice assistant feature and is the main differentiator between iPhone 4 and older devices therefore it makes quite sense that Apple will keep it exclusive for quite some time. On the other hand we had seen unofficial port of Siri feature on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS by iPhone hacker community which proves that there is no compatibility issue which was otherwise thought to be linked with A5 processor.

However we will keep our fingers crossed and expect to see working public release of Siri onto older Apple devices. We will be updating you on the future developments and updates so follow us on twitter, Facebook and Google+ to get updates on Apple, Microsoft, Google, Gadgets and Tech News.
