Google’s mobile apps are become more and more popular all over the world as Android Market has just crossed 10 billion app downloads and the growth rate has reached to one billion app downloads per month.
This annoucement has come from the Google:
One billion is a pretty big number by any measurement. However, when it’s describing thespeed at which something is growing, it’s simply amazing. This past weekend, thanks to Android users around the world, Android Market exceeded 10 billion app downloads—with a growth rate of one billion app downloads per month. We can’t wait to see where this accelerating growth takes us in 2012.
if you we compare it with Apple’s App store growth then you in above chart that same milestone was achieved by Apple in January and it was rather more speedy. The 10 billion mark has been achieved by Google in 38 months whereas same was achieved by Apple in only 30 months.
However, there is another interesting thing which can been analyzed here that Apple’s App store started getting 10 Billion downloads per month 3 years after the launch whereas same milestone has also achieved by Google’s Android Market which means both are growing at the same speed. But don’t forget the that Apple’s single App store is competing against multiple Android app stores.
