2.5 GHz quad-core CPUs Smartphone’s Fastest – Qualcomm Snapdragon Roadmap [Report]

During this year we have seen that Smartphone have started embarrassed Dual Core processors with speeds whopping up to 1.5 GHz. However recently Qualcomm relesed the Snapdragon Roadmap showing the chipsets they plan to release in coming months and the best part is we are just few months away from seeing the 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU. The new Quad Core processor will be a memeber of S4 Snapdragon family and 28nm architecture for optimal performance having 8 processing cores 4 for CPU and 4 for GPU. The S4 family will offer single, dual and qual core line of processors with clock speeds up 2.5 GHz.

Adreno GPU iscurrently not among the top performers as Nvidia Tegra out performs all. But in the coming architectures may be the GPU performance is enhanced and Qualcomm will try to improve in this weak section. With so much power behind the processors the new devices equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors will support LTE and high media rendering capabilities. This all wont take long as after the release of 2.5 GHz quad-core processor in few months time the manufacturers will start testing it with their set of hardware and we would see devices popping out by end of next year.
